Another Spirit of the Wind custom Guitar left the workshop. Aged Mediterranean super lightweight pine hollow body with a thin, responsive top with our wind erosion finish. Handmade aged brass hardware. The exposed wood grain and the aged brass parts are part of our homage to the Japanese Wabi-sabi philosophy. This technique along with our method of oxidizing the handmade brass parts was influenced by the Japanese Wabi Sabi technique.No flamed maple tops or highly glossed finishes here.
That is because we focus on the guitar’s tone and we want the hollow body pine with its thin top to be super responsive just like an acoustic instrument. In that way, some of this tonal quality is reflected in the string vibration and from there to the p-90 pickups. That’s part of our trademark bell-like beautiful tone.
