This Ancient Salvaged Handcrafted Olive Thunder Child Veloce Just Left the Workshop!
It took me a few months to build this one, but the result is superb. Combining the Mediterranean cypress body with the ancient olive top has a surprisingly warm and sweet tone. I took these photos outside the workshop just hours before its departure from the Mediterranean sun to Poland.
As always every part of this guitar is handmade. I’ve used only salvaged ancient lumber. The neck is also salvaged Mediterranean cypress with wild salvaged rosewood fretboard. Pickups are two lipstick humbuckers that I make from the hand-wound coils from Mr. Doug Tulloch. I cast all the hardware fro Bell Brass and everything is finished with traditional shellac.
