Using Rare Salvaged Local Mediterranean Cypress for this upcoming Thunder Child Veloce Guitar
This is the gorgeous back of anew Thunder Child Veloce guitar.
It is a salvaged piece of local Mediterranean Cypress. A lightweight and super responsive tonewood.
This type of lumber was used to create ancient stringed instruments in the Middle East. As far as I can recall it was also used for Italian harpsichords and in Spain it was used for Flamenco Guitars. A little bit challenging to work with, and that is why the guitar “industry” skipped it.
This specific body was made for a Thunder Child Veloce and went through a few shellac sessions. The polishing session will begin next week.
